Hands-on Production Supervisor

Hands-on Production Supervisor

 

Responsibilities
You ensure that the production processes in the factory run smoothly. You are the leader of the team and deliver the agreed-upon quality within the specified timeframe.

Core Tasks

• Functionally lead a team of metalworkers/welders.
• Act as the first point of contact for work preparation and ensure smooth coordination between production and planning.
• Ensure a balanced distribution of tasks among the metalworkers/welders using a forklift, side loader, and overhead cranes.
• Coordinate the flow of materials in and out of the factory, including alignment with machine operators, quality inspectors, the hands-on supervisor of preservation, and the transport planner.
• Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with requirements for quality, timing, and cost.
• Supervise the execution of tasks and, where possible, contribute to production activities.
• Check the quality of the (final) product, such as performing visual weld inspections.
• Load trucks and provide support when needed.
• Proactively monitor safety on the work floor and promote safe working practices according to applicable guidelines and procedures.

Job Requirements

• MBO level 4 thinking and working level (Metalwork)
• Several years of experience in a similar role and industry
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Basic VCA (preferred)
• Visual Welding Inspector Certificate (VTw-2) (preferred)
• Forklift Operation Certificate
• Certificate for Aerial Work Platform / Safe Hoisting (preferred)
• Proficiency in Dutch, both spoken and written
