Instead of gifts, we asked our guests to support <strong data-start=\"159\" data-end=\"196\">Stichting Leergeld West-Friesland<\/strong>, an organization committed to helping children who could use an extra boost. Thanks to all donations \u2013 and with an additional contribution from Holland Staal \u2013 our director Ben Verhoef was able to present a cheque worth <strong data-start=\"417\" data-end=\"427\">\u20ac9,019<\/strong> to chairman Martin van der Raad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"462\" data-end=\"793\">Leergeld West-Friesland ensures that children get the chance to participate and explore their talents, regardless of their financial situation at home. So far this year, the foundation has supported <strong data-start=\"661\" data-end=\"679\">1,419 children<\/strong> with school supplies, sportswear, and club memberships \u2013 for which more than <strong data-start=\"757\" data-end=\"769\">\u20ac164,000<\/strong> has already been spent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"795\" data-end=\"1168\">Because today\u2019s youth is tomorrow\u2019s future, it felt only natural for us to support Leergeld. At Holland Staal, we also believe in creating opportunities for young people. As an accredited training company, we help students grow, learn, and develop their skills.
